Dear Will County Board,
I hear talk of property tax increases?
The Patch reports ”Will County property taxes are among the highest in the country”.
As a proud resident of Will County I have watched our property taxes increase as the quality of education in our schools and SAFETY of my children decreases…and pork spending explodes.
We are now paying ridiculous property taxes that are escalating to the level of a mortgage payment, while paying for private school to keep our kids from being groomed with sexually explicit inappropriate and racially divisive material that has no place in our public school system.
Our schools are failing at educating children in math, reading, and basic life skills like cooking, trade skills, proper diet, budgeting, consumer economics, civics and the scientific method.
Meanwhile it seems the Will County government is also lacking in the areas of civics, budgeting & math.
Your spending is frivolous and out of control.
Your budgeting priorities are misguided.
Your priorities are out of whack.
You can not tax your way out of this mess.
☎️This is a call to the thinkers on the Will County Board:
Do not foolishly follow in the path of Cook and DuPage.
☎️This is a call to the Will County Board to restore common sense and decency to our section of Illinois.
☎️This is a call to show Illinois how a county rooted in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights (in the face of nonsensical legislation like the “Safety Act” and the recent legislation allowing non-citizens to be law enforcement) rises above and leads with common sense and decency.
Your time as board members will come to an end eventually, regardless.
🇺🇸But you have an opportunity to preserve and uphold what is right in a community that will support you if you do the right things.
The alternative is you can tax and spend Will County into ruin. ☠️
Those of us with the brains and means will simply leave – and YOU will be left to sort out the mess you have created…with the kind of people who allow it.
📈The smart thing to do is what everyone who’s pragmatic is doing when prices rise faster than income – you tighten the financial belt.
💸💸💸Stop wasting the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars you take in from Will County residents on programs that do not yield the desired results, and nonsense line items.
❌Earmark nothing new!
🇺🇸This is not a partisan appeal.🇺🇸
💡It’s a common sense appeal.💡
✂️Cut spending on all non-essential programs.
✂️Cut funding to all programs not delivering their intended and required thresholds for achievement.
🧐This is what the people of Will County must do in their private lives and businesses and this is what YOU *must* do.
💪🏼You must do it, not for clout or favor, but because it is what must be done. This is why we have a board after all.
Demand accountability in your budget the way each family in Will County is doing so in ours.
Do this and you will find (perhaps to your surprise) that Will County is in fact taxing too much. Property taxes are too high.
😎When property taxes are lowered, the property VALUES will actually INCREASE like the rest of the similar communities nationwide. That will attract sales, GROWTH and stimulate Will County’s revenue in appropriate ways!
☎️This is a call to the Will County Board to make Will County the LEADER in Illinois – for all the right reasons.
Sincerely,
Matt Dubiel 🇺🇸
Resident, Will County
P.S. Why is the Will County Board meeting at 9:30a on a weekday? The working public with children in school are working and/or taking their kids to school at that time.
P.S.S. Your website instructs the public NOT to use the first form for public comment and instructs us to another URL that is very long and NOT hyperlinked. The beauty of the World Wide Web is the simplicity and ease of a hyperlink. It should be SIMPLE to leave comments and attend meetings.
